Croton

The miracle shrub, also known as Croton, prefers a bright to sunny, warm and very sheltered location in a tropical to subtropical climate. It is sensitive to frost and reacts adversely to cold and drafts.

The soil should be humus-rich, loose and well-draining. A slightly acidic to neutral pH value between approximately 5.5 and 6.5 is ideal; consistent moisture is preferred, but waterlogging should be avoided.

The plant grows as an evergreen shrub and usually reaches a height of 1 to 3 meters. It is particularly valued for its brightly colored, decorative leaves.
