Vermouth

Wormwood prefers a fully sunny, warm, and rather dry location. It is very robust, tolerant of heat and drought, and well frost-hardy.

The soil should be loose, sandy to stony, and well-drained. A neutral to slightly alkaline pH value (approx. 6.0–7.5) is ideal. Waterlogging should be avoided at all costs.

The plant grows as a perennial, bushy shrub and usually reaches a height of 60 to 120 cm.
It is valued primarily as a medicinal and spice plant for its highly aromatic ingredients.
