Stevia

Stevia prefers a sunny to partially shaded, warm, and sheltered location. It is sensitive to frost and grows best in mild to subtropical climates.

The soil should be loose, rich in humus, and well-draining. A slightly acidic to neutral pH value (approx. 5.5–6.5) is ideal. The plant requires regular moisture, and waterlogging should be avoided.

The plant grows as an herbaceous perennial and usually reaches 40 to 80 cm in height.
It is primarily valued as a natural sugar substitute due to its intensely sweet leaves.
