Plum Yew

The Plum Yew prefers a sunny to partially shaded, warm and sheltered location. It is moderately frost-tolerant and well-suited for mild to subtropical regions.

The soil should be loose, humus-rich, and well-drained. A slightly acidic to neutral pH value (approx. 5.5–6.5) is ideal. Consistent, but not excessive, moisture is preferred; waterlogging should be avoided.

The plant grows as an evergreen shrub or small tree, usually reaching 2 to 10 meters in height, depending on pruning and location. It is primarily valued for its dense, dark green needles and its suitability as a hedge and topiary plant.
