Black Raspberry
(black raspberry)
Black raspberries prefer a sunny to semi-shady location in a temperate climate. They are winter-hardy and grow well in regions with cool to mild winters.
The soil should be humus-rich, loose, and well-draining. A slightly acidic to neutral pH value of approximately 5.5 to 6.5 is ideal; consistent moisture is preferred, and waterlogging should be avoided.
The plant grows as a cane-producing shrub and usually reaches 1.5 to 3 meters in height. It typically bears its first fruits after about 2 years under good conditions.
