Cherry Blossom

The Sakura prefers a sunny to partially shaded, sheltered location. It is very frost-hardy and suitable for temperate to subtropical climates.

The soil should be loose, humus-rich, and well-draining. A slightly acidic to neutral pH value (approx. 5.5–6.5) is ideal. Waterlogging should be avoided.

The plant grows as a small to medium-sized deciduous tree and usually reaches 4 to 10 meters in height. It is particularly valued for its spectacular pink to white blossoms in spring.
