Raindrop Peperomia

Peperomia prefers a bright to semi-shady, warm and sheltered location without direct midday sun. It is sensitive to frost and is very suitable as a houseplant.

The soil should be very loose, humus-rich and well-draining (often mixed with some sand or perlite). A slightly acidic to neutral pH value between approximately 5.5 and 6.5 is ideal. The plant stores water in its leaves and therefore only requires moderate watering; waterlogging should absolutely be avoided.

The plant grows as a compact, evergreen foliage plant and usually reaches a height of 20 to 40 cm. It produces inconspicuous flowers and is primarily valued for its thick, shiny, "teardrop-shaped" leaves.
