Quince

The quince prefers a sunny, warm, and sheltered location in a temperate to subtropical climate. It is very hardy and can tolerate colder winters.

The soil should be deep, humous, and well-drained. A slightly acidic to neutral pH value between approximately 6.0 and 7.5 is ideal, and waterlogging should be avoided.

The plant grows as a small tree or shrub and usually reaches a height of 3 to 6 meters. It typically bears its first fruits after about 3 to 5 years under good conditions.
