Poleo'i

The Poleo'i prefers a sunny, warm, and rather dry location. It is very tolerant of heat and drought and relatively frost-hardy.

The soil should be loose, sandy to loamy, and well-drained. A neutral to slightly alkaline pH value (approx. 6.0–7.5) is ideal. Waterlogging should be avoided.

The plant grows as a densely branched shrub and usually reaches a height of 1 to 3 meters.
It is valued primarily for its intense fragrance and its use as a tea and medicinal plant.
