Philodendron Birkin
(Philodendron hederaceum ‘Birkin’)
The Philodendron 'Birkin' prefers a bright to semi-shady, warm, and sheltered location without direct strong sun. It is sensitive to frost and is usually cultivated as a houseplant.
The soil should be loose, humous, and very well-draining. A slightly acidic to neutral pH value between approximately 5.5 and 6.5 is ideal. Consistent, moderate moisture is preferred; waterlogging should absolutely be avoided.
The plant grows as a compact, evergreen foliage climber or with a bushy habit and usually reaches 30 cm to 1 meter in height, but can become wider over time.
Like many Philodendron species, it is mildly toxic to humans and pets if ingested.
