Plum

Plums prefer a sunny to semi-shady, warm, and sheltered location. They require regular watering, especially during dry spells, though waterlogging should be strictly avoided.

An ideal soil is deep, humus-rich, and well-draining, with a slightly acidic to neutral pH of around 6.0 to 7.0. Good nutrient supply reliably supports flowering and fruit development.

Under optimal conditions, it begins bearing fruit after about 3 to 5 years, producing juicy, sweet-and-sour fruits. The tree usually reaches a height of about 3 to 6 meters and forms a broadly growing, long-lived crown.
