Palo Santo

Palo Santo prefers a sunny, warm, and dry location. It is very heat and drought tolerant but susceptible to frost.

The soil should be deep, sandy to loamy, and very well-drained. A neutral to slightly alkaline pH value (approx. 6.0–7.5) is ideal. Waterlogging must be avoided at all costs.

The plant grows as a slow-growing, evergreen tree and usually reaches 5 to 12 meters in height. It is valued primarily for its highly aromatic wood and its high esteem as a utility and fragrant tree.
