Traveller's Palm

The Traveler's Palm prefers a full sun to partial shade, warm, and very sheltered location. It is sensitive to frost and grows best in a tropical to subtropical climate.

The soil should be loose, rich in humus, and well-draining. A slightly acidic to neutral pH value (approx. 5.5–6.5) is ideal. The plant requires a lot of water, but waterlogging should be avoided.

The plant grows as a large, banana-like perennial with fan-shaped leaves and usually reaches 6 to 15 meters in height.

It is valued primarily for its striking, symmetrical growth habit and its exotic appearance.
