Orange Jessamine
(Murraya paniculata)
Orange jasmine prefers a sunny to semi-shady, warm, and sheltered location in tropical to subtropical climates. It is sensitive to frost and grows best with consistent warmth.
The soil should be humus-rich, loose, and well-draining. A slightly acidic to neutral pH value between approximately 5.5 and 6.5 is ideal; regular moisture is preferred, and waterlogging should be avoided.
The plant grows as an evergreen shrub or small tree, usually reaching 2 to 4 meters in height. It produces small, orange-red fruits, which are not considered edible, and is primarily valued for its highly fragrant, white flowers.
