Lily bulb

Lilies prefer a sunny to semi-shady location, with the roots kept cool and shaded. They require regular watering, especially during the growth and flowering period, with the soil needing to be consistently moist but well-draining.

An ideal soil is humus-rich, loose, and nutrient-rich with a slightly acidic to neutral pH of about 5.5 to 7.0. Waterlogging should be avoided at all costs, as the bulbs are very sensitive to it.

The plants produce large, showy flowers in various colors and shapes. Depending on the species, they usually reach a height of about 40 to 180 cm and grow as perennial bulbous plants with upright flower stalks.
