Licuala Palm / Large-leaved Licuala Palm

The Licuala Palm / Large-leaved Fan Palm prefers a semi-shady to shady, warm and very sheltered location without direct sun. It is frost-sensitive and requires high humidity.

The soil should be loose, humus-rich and very well-drained. A slightly acidic pH value (approx. 5.5–6.5) is ideal. Consistent moisture is preferred; waterlogging should be avoided.

The plant grows as a slow-growing, compact fan palm and usually reaches 1.5 to 3 meters in height. It is particularly valued for its large, round, fan-shaped leaves and its very exotic appearance.
