Lavender

Lavender prefers a full sun, warm, and dry location. It is very heat-tolerant and only slightly frost-tolerant.

The soil should be very loose, sandy to stony, and well-drained. A neutral to slightly alkaline pH value (approx. 6.0–7.5) is ideal. Waterlogging should be avoided at all costs.

The plant grows as an evergreen subshrub and usually reaches 30 to 100 cm in height.
It is valued primarily for its strong fragrance, its flowers, and its use as an ornamental and aromatic plant.
