Kurupay Ra
(Parapiptadenia rigida)
The Kurupay Ra prefers a full-sun, warm location. It is heat and drought tolerant, but only moderately frost-hardy.
The soil should be deep, loose, and well-drained. A neutral to slightly alkaline pH value (approx. 6.0–7.5) is ideal. Waterlogging should be avoided.
The plant grows as a fast-growing deciduous tree and usually reaches 10 to 25 meters in height. It is particularly valued for its robust growth, good wood quality, and suitability for reforestation.
