Kiwi

Kiwis prefer a sunny to semi-shady, warm, and sheltered location. They are only moderately frost-hardy and sensitive to late frosts during flowering.

The soil should be humus-rich, loose, and well-draining. A slightly acidic pH value between approximately 5.5 and 6.5 is ideal; consistent moisture is preferred, and waterlogging should be avoided.

The plant grows as a vigorously climbing vine and requires a stable climbing aid. It can reach several meters in height. It typically bears its first fruits after about 3 to 5 years under good conditions.
