Catnip

Catnip prefers a full-sun, warm, and dry location. It is very robust, heat and drought tolerant, and well frost-hardy.

The soil should be loose, sandy to loamy, and well-drained. A neutral to slightly alkaline pH value (approx. 6.0–7.5) is ideal. Waterlogging should be avoided.

The plant grows as an herbaceous perennial and usually reaches 30 to 100 cm in height.
It is valued primarily for its aromatic effect, which attracts cats, and its long flowering period.
