Jacobina

Jacobinia prefers a partially shaded to sunny, warm, and sheltered location in a tropical to subtropical climate. It is sensitive to frost and grows best with consistent warmth.

The soil should be humus-rich, loose, and well-draining. A slightly acidic to neutral pH value between approximately 5.5 and 6.5 is ideal; regular moisture is preferred, but waterlogging should be avoided.

The plant grows as a compact shrub and usually reaches 0.5 to 1.5 meters in height. It is primarily valued for its striking, tubular flower spikes.
