Hibiscus

The hibiscus prefers a sunny to semi-shady, warm, and sheltered location.

The soil should be humus-rich, loose, and well-drained. A slightly acidic to neutral pH value between approximately 5.5 and 7.0 is ideal, regular moisture is preferred, and waterlogging should be avoided.

Depending on the species, the plant grows as a shrub or small tree and usually reaches 1 to 4 meters in height (tropical species sometimes more). It is especially valued for its large, striking flowers.
