Confederate rose

The Hibiscus mutabilis prefers a sunny to semi-shady, warm, and sheltered location. It is only moderately frost-hardy and thrives best in mild to tropical climates.

The soil should be humus-rich, loose, and well-draining. A slightly acidic to neutral pH value between approximately 5.5 and 7.0 is ideal; regular moisture is preferred, but waterlogging should be avoided.

The plant grows as a shrub or small tree, usually reaching 2 to 5 meters in height. It is primarily known for its color-changing flowers.
