Heliconia stricta

Heliconia stricta prefers a semi-shady to sunny, warm, and very humid location in a tropical climate. It is sensitive to frost and requires consistently high temperatures.

The soil should be humus-rich, loose, and well-draining. A slightly acidic pH value between approximately 5.5 and 6.5 is ideal, regular moisture is important, and waterlogging should be avoided.

The plant grows herbaceously and usually reaches a height of 1 to 2.5 meters. It is primarily valued for its striking, decorative inflorescences.
