Heliconia angusta

Heliconia angusta prefers a semi-shady, warm, and very sheltered location in a tropical climate. It is sensitive to frost and requires high humidity for optimal growth.

The soil should be humus-rich, loose, and very well-draining. A slightly acidic pH between approximately 5.5 and 6.5 is ideal; consistent moisture is needed, but waterlogging should be avoided.

The plant grows herbaceous and usually reaches 1 to 2 meters in height. It is primarily known for its striking, decorative inflorescences.
