Guaviju

The Guaviju prefers a sunny to semi-shady, warm and sheltered location in a subtropical to mildly tropical climate. It is moderately frost-tolerant and also grows in somewhat cooler regions.

The soil should be humus-rich, loose, and well-drained. A slightly acidic to neutral pH value between approximately 5.5 and 6.5 is ideal; consistent moisture is preferred, and waterlogging should be avoided.

The plant grows as a tree and usually reaches 5 to 15 meters in height. It typically bears its first fruits after about 4 to 6 years under good conditions.
