Brazilian sage

Guarani sage prefers a sunny to partially shaded, warm and sheltered location. It is perennial in mild regions but only conditionally frost-hardy.

The soil should be loose, humus-rich, and well-drained. A slightly acidic to neutral pH value between approximately 5.5 and 7.0 is ideal, consistent moisture is preferred, and waterlogging should be avoided.

The plant grows as a bushy perennial and usually reaches 1 to 2 meters in height. It does not produce edible fruits and is primarily valued for its long, blue-violet flowering period.
