Grapefruit

Grapefruits prefer a sunny, warm, and sheltered location in a subtropical to tropical climate. They are sensitive to frost and require consistent warmth.

The soil should be humus-rich, loose, and well-draining. A slightly acidic to neutral pH value between approximately 5.5 and 6.5 is ideal; consistent moisture is preferred, and waterlogging should be avoided.

The plant grows as an evergreen tree and usually reaches 3 to 6 meters in height. It typically bears its first fruits after about 3 to 5 years under good conditions.
