Granadilla

The Granadilla prefers a sunny to semi-shady, warm, and sheltered location in a tropical to subtropical climate. It is sensitive to frost and grows best with climbing support.

The soil should be humus-rich, loose, and well-drained. A slightly acidic to neutral pH value between about 5.5 and 6.5 is ideal; consistent moisture is preferred, and waterlogging should be avoided.

The plant grows as a fast-climbing vine and can reach several meters in height. It typically bears its first fruits after about 1.5 to 3 years under good conditions.
