Yellow stem cherry

The Yellow Jaboticaba prefers a sunny to semi-shady, warm, and sheltered location in a tropical to subtropical climate. It is sensitive to frost and requires high humidity.

The soil should be rich in humus, loose, and well-drained. A slightly acidic pH value between approximately 5.0 and 6.5 is ideal; consistent moisture is preferred, and waterlogging should be avoided.

The plant grows as a slow-growing shrub or small tree, usually reaching 2 to 6 meters in height. It typically bears its first fruits after about 3 to 5 years under good conditions.
