Flamingo flower

The flamingo flower prefers a bright, semi-shady to shady, warm and very humid location in a tropical climate. It is sensitive to frost and is well suited as a houseplant or greenhouse plant.

The soil should be loose, humus-rich and very well-drained. A slightly acidic pH value between approximately 5.5 and 6.5 is ideal, and consistent moisture without waterlogging is required.

The plant usually remains compact and reaches a height of about 30 to 80 cm. It does not produce edible fruits but is primarily known for its colorful bracts and flower spikes.
