Fireleaf

The fire leaf prefers a sunny to semi-shady, warm, and very sheltered location in a tropical to subtropical climate. It is sensitive to frost and is well-suited as a container or indoor plant.

The soil should be humus-rich, loose, and well-drained. A slightly acidic to neutral pH value between approximately 5.5 and 6.5 is ideal; consistent moisture is preferred, but waterlogging should be avoided.

The plant grows as a shrub and usually reaches a height of 1 to 3 meters. It does not produce edible fruits and is primarily valued for its colorful, decorative foliage.
