Fennel

Fennel prefers a full-sun, warm, and rather dry location. It is very robust, heat-tolerant, and moderately frost-hardy.

The soil should be loose, deep, and well-draining. A neutral to slightly alkaline pH value (approx. 6.0–7.5) is ideal. Waterlogging should be avoided.

The plant grows as a perennial and usually reaches 1 to 2 meters in height.
It is primarily valued as a spice and medicinal plant for its aromatic seeds and leaves.
