Jacaranda

The fern-leaf tree prefers a sunny to semi-shady, warm, and sheltered location in a tropical to subtropical climate. It is sensitive to frost and grows best in consistently high temperatures.

The soil should be loose, humus-rich, and well-drained. A slightly acidic to neutral pH value between approximately 5.5 and 6.5 is ideal. The plant requires regular moisture but does not tolerate waterlogging.

The plant grows as an evergreen, slow to moderately growing tree and usually reaches 6 to 15 meters in height.

It is valued primarily for its finely feathered, fern-like foliage and its suitability as a shade and ornamental tree.
