Eucalyptus menthol

Eucalyptus menthol prefers a sunny, warm, and airy location. It is very heat-tolerant but only moderately frost-hardy; young plants, in particular, should be protected.

The soil should be loose, sandy to loamy, and very well-drained. A neutral to slightly alkaline pH value between approximately 6.0 and 7.5 is ideal. The plant is drought-tolerant, and waterlogging must be avoided.

The plant grows as a fast-growing, evergreen tree and usually reaches 5 to 15 meters in height, and even more in warm climates.

It is valued primarily for its silvery-blue leaves and its strongly aromatic, menthol-like scent.
