Peanut Butter Fruit

Peanut Butter Fruit

(Bunchosia glandulifera)

The peanut butter fruit prefers a sunny to semi-shady, warm, and sheltered location in a tropical to subtropical climate. It is frost-sensitive and grows best at constant temperatures.

The soil should be humous, loose, and well-drained. A slightly acidic to neutral pH value between approximately 5.5 and 6.5 is ideal; consistent moisture is preferred, and waterlogging should be avoided.

The plant grows as a shrub or small tree and usually reaches 2 to 5 meters in height. It typically bears its first fruits after about 2 to 4 years under good conditions.
