Sweet violet

Sweet violet prefers a semi-shady to shady, cool, and sheltered location. It is frost-hardy and well-suited for temperate climates.

The soil should be humous, loose, and consistently moist. A slightly acidic to neutral pH (approx. 5.5–6.5) is ideal. Waterlogging should be avoided.

The plant grows as a low, perennial herb, usually reaching 10 to 15 cm in height. It is primarily valued for its strongly fragrant, violet to white flowers.
