Dill
(Anethum graveolens)
Dill prefers a sunny, warm, and ideally sheltered location. It requires regular watering, with the soil remaining consistently moist but well-drained.
Loose, humus-rich, and nutrient-dense soil with a slightly acidic to neutral pH value of approximately 5.5 to 7.0 is ideal. Waterlogging should be avoided, as the roots are sensitive.
Primarily, the aromatic leaves, young shoots, and seeds are used as a spice. Dill usually reaches a height of about 40 to 120 cm and grows as an annual, upright herbaceous plant.
