Crossandra

Crossandra prefers a bright to semi-shady, warm, and very sheltered location in a tropical to subtropical climate. It is sensitive to frost and is well-suited as a houseplant or container plant.

The soil should be humus-rich, loose, and well-draining. A slightly acidic to neutral pH value between approximately 5.5 and 6.5 is ideal; consistent moisture is preferred, but waterlogging should be avoided.

The plant grows as a small shrub and usually reaches 30 to 80 cm in height. It is primarily known for its bright orange flowers.
