Chinese Fan Palm

The Chinese Fan Palm prefers a sunny to semi-shady, warm, and sheltered location. It is relatively robust and tolerates short, light frosts, but thrives best in a mild to subtropical climate.

The soil should be loose, humus-rich, and well-draining. A slightly acidic to neutral pH (approx. 5.5–6.5) is ideal. Consistent moisture is preferred, and waterlogging should be avoided.

The plant grows as a slow to moderately growing fan palm, usually reaching 5 to 15 meters in height. It is particularly valued for its elegant, fan-shaped leaves and its suitability as an ornamental and park palm.
