Cassabanana

The Cassabanana prefers a sunny, warm, and sheltered location in a tropical to subtropical climate. It is sensitive to frost and requires long, warm growing seasons.

The soil should be humus-rich, loose, and well-draining. A slightly acidic to neutral pH value between approximately 5.5 and 7.0 is ideal, regular moisture is preferred, but waterlogging should be avoided.

The plant grows as a vigorously climbing vine and can form shoots several meters long. It typically bears its first fruits after about 4 to 6 months to 1 year under good conditions.
