Canistel

The Canistel prefers a sunny, warm, and sheltered location in a tropical to subtropical climate. It is sensitive to frost and requires consistent warmth.

The soil should be deep, rich in humus, and well-draining. A slightly acidic to neutral pH value between approximately 5.5 and 7.5 is ideal; waterlogging should be avoided.

The plant grows as a tree and usually reaches 8 to 20 meters in height. It typically bears its first fruits after about 3 to 5 years under good conditions.
