Bismarck palm

The Bismarck palm prefers a full sun, warm, and very sheltered location. It is heat-tolerant but only slightly frost-tolerant and requires a tropical to subtropical climate.

The soil should be loose, sandy to loamy, and very well-draining. A neutral to slightly alkaline pH value (approx. 6.0–7.5) is ideal. The plant is drought-tolerant; waterlogging should be strictly avoided.

The plant grows as an impressive fan palm and usually reaches 8 to 20 meters in height.
It is particularly valued for its huge, silvery-blue leaves and its very decorative appearance.
