Mountain Bamboo / Tacuarilla

The Tacuarilla prefers a semi-shady to sunny, warm, and sheltered location. It is relatively adaptable but does not tolerate extreme drought or prolonged waterlogging.

The soil should be humus-rich, loose, and well-drained. A slightly acidic to neutral pH value between approximately 5.5 and 6.5 is ideal. Consistent moisture is preferred, especially during the growth phase.

The plant grows as a clump-forming bamboo and usually reaches 2 to 6 meters in height, sometimes more depending on the location.

It is particularly valued for its dense, decorative growth and its suitability as a privacy screen.
