Banana Ae Ae

The 'Ae Ae' banana prefers a very sunny to partially shaded, warm, and wind-protected location. It is frost-sensitive and requires tropical to subtropical conditions.

The soil should be rich in humus, nutrient-dense, and well-draining. A slightly acidic to neutral pH value of about 5.5 to 7.0 is ideal; consistent moisture is important.

The plant can grow to about 2 to 4 meters tall and grows relatively quickly. Under good conditions, it will produce fruit after about 1.5 to 3 years, although with this variety, fruits are rare and often less productive.
