Australian Bottle Tree

The Australian Bottle Tree prefers a full sun, warm, and sheltered location. It is very heat and drought tolerant and, once established, also moderately frost-tolerant.

The soil should be loose, sandy to loamy, and very well-drained. A neutral to slightly alkaline pH value between approximately 6.0 and 8.0 is ideal. The plant requires little water and tolerates dry periods well; waterlogging should be avoided.

The plant grows as an evergreen to semi-evergreen tree and usually reaches 6 to 20 meters in height, depending on the location.

It is particularly valued for its robust nature, interesting trunk, and adaptability to dry locations.
