Pineapple Guava
(Feijoa sellowiana)
The pineapple guava prefers a sunny to semi-shady location in a warm, subtropical climate. It is relatively frost-tolerant and can withstand short periods of cold.
The soil should be well-drained, slightly sandy to loamy, and moderately fertile. A slightly acidic to neutral pH value of about 5.5 to 7.0 is ideal.
The plant grows as a shrub or small tree and reaches about 2 to 5 meters in height. It usually produces its first fruits after 3 to 5 years.
