Amaranth

Amaranth prefers a sunny location in a warm climate and grows reliably even in drier regions. It is very adaptable and grows quickly.

The soil should be loose, well-drained, and moderately rich in nutrients. A pH value between approximately 6.0 and 7.5 is ideal, and waterlogging should be avoided.

Depending on the variety, the plant grows to about 0.5 to 2 meters tall. It produces edible seeds after just 2 to 4 months, allowing for a very quick harvest.
