African Tulip Tree

The African Tulip Tree (Spathodea campanulata) prefers a full sun location in warm, tropical to subtropical regions. It grows best in sheltered areas without frost.

The soil should be deep, well-drained, and nutrient-rich. A pH value between 5.5 and 7.5 is ideal; regular watering, especially in its early years, promotes strong growth.

The tree can reach a height of 15 to 25 meters and develops a broad crown. Its striking orange-red flowers usually appear after 3 to 5 years under favorable conditions.
