Açaí

The acai palm prefers a sunny to partially shaded location in a warm, tropical climate. It grows particularly well in wind-protected areas with high humidity.

The soil should be rich in humus, nutrient-rich, and always slightly moist. A pH value of about 5.0 to 6.5 is ideal, and regular watering is especially important during dry periods.

The palm typically reaches a height of 15 to 25 meters and often grows in multiple stems. Under good conditions, it bears its first fruits after about 3 to 5 years.
